The new Lotus 2-Eleven takes the Chapman philosophy of ‘Performance through Lightweight’ to its most extreme level yet.

Weighing in at just 670kg at dry weight with base specification (or only 745kg kerb weight when fully loaded) and with 252bhp on tap from its intercooled, supercharged 1796cc engine, the 2-Eleven boasts a power-to-weight ratio similar to that of a 1960s Formula 1 car.

Designed with the most serious of track day enthusiasts in mind, the Lotus 2-Eleven is not able to be road registered – it’s a genuine racecar, the culmination of Lotus’ years of automotive racing heritage, for those who demand the ultimate in track day performance.

Engine

Mid-mounted transverse 1796cc super-charged engine. 4 cylinders in line, watercooled with Chain driven Double Over-Head Camshafts (DOHC) exploiting a Variable Valve Timing & Lift - intelligent (VVTL-i) system. Four valves per cylinder, Lotus T4e engine management system, multi-point sequential fuel injection, electronic ignition and electronic throttle control. Lotus Sport developed supercharger installation with unique rear mounted air to air intercooler. Engine oil accumulator unit.

Transmission

C64 manual transaxle, aluminium lightweight construction. 6-speed, close ratio, constant mesh helical gears. Uprated clutch plate and clutch cover

Chassis

Unique high-sided variant of the Lotus Elise lightweight structure of epoxy bonded aluminium alloy extrusions. Glass fibre composite front crushable structure and lightweight galvanised steel rear sub frame

Fully independent suspension utilising unequal length wishbones, Bilste in non-adjustable dampers with coil over springs. Lotus Sport adjustable front anti-roll bar. Rear double shear track control arm brace. Unique steering arms and front upper wishbones to suit ultra-low ride height.

Brembo single sliding piston at the rear. Pagid RS14 sports brake pads. High-grade silicone brake fluid. Stainless steel braided brake hoses.
